University of Chichester Audio Short Story Competition 2021

We are delighted to announce the winner of the University of Chichester Audio Short Story Award – an exclusive annual collaborative competition for creative writing and theatre students. The challenge was to discover the best new writing talent, and then to choose an emerging voice actor to record the winning tale. The judges felt privileged to read such diverse, imaginative and surprising stories. Every story had its own music and there was so much to admire, not just in terms of the story being told, but in the development and depth of characters and the beauty and polish of sentences. The winning story stood out for both judges. As did the winning voice artist – for the quality of recording, energy, intro music, and originality of voice. It is with great pleasure that we invite you to listen to ‘Vector’. Written by Tracy Fells, read, recorded and produced by Max Pearson.
