Martina Devlin is an Irish author and journalist. Her novels include Ship of Dreams, about the Titanic shipwreck and its aftermath – inspired by a family connection with the disaster. Her non-fiction includes the co-authored book Banksters, about the Irish banking collapse. Her short stories have won her the Royal Society of Literature’s VS Pritchett Prize and a Hennessy Literary Prize, and she has been shortlisted twice for the Irish Book Awards. She writes a weekly current affairs column for the Irish Independent newspaper.
